Amma Massage is practiced in Japan. It gets its origins from Chinese Massage and makes use of stroking, finger pressure, percussion and stretching. The Practitioner or therapist works acupressure points using his/her arms, elbows, hands, feet, and knees touching on the same meridians used in acupuncture. Amma is done without oil and can be applied through a client's clothes or a towel/sheet.
